With the seemingly endless horror stories on TV and in the papers about cowboy builders it is essential that you trust the company you choose to extend your home, bear in mind that an extension is probably the second biggest investment you are likely to make, after your home, don't be tempted by cheap dodgy builders who may undermine your investment in more ways than one.

Do not be tempted to make the mistake of going for the cheapest builder, Cooper Homes suggest you always get at least 3 quotes for your project and then take references before deciding who to choose.
The homeowner, foolishly, went for the cheapest builder and has unfortunately learnt a harsh lesson. They have now asked Cooper Homes to take over and complete the task that we originally quoted for.
A lot of the work they have carried out is incorrect & sub standard and will have to be re-done, work that has been covered up must be exposed & checked. Materials dumped all around the site will have to be removed and disposed of properly, the scaffold hasnt been paid for, so it will have to be removed & re-built. In short, to finish the project is going to cost far more than Cooper Homes originally quoted and take months longer.
