Having recently returned to the firm, Ben previously trained and qualified with Smailes Goldie before relocating to London for further life and work experience.
Whilst in London, Ben worked in the tax advisory team of a top 20 UK national firm of tax advisors and accountants. In this role, Ben focused on the UK taxation of the RNDs and associated offshore structures, employee shares schemes and also investor tax reliefs for start-up companies raising private equity.
Ben then moved to the London headquarters of a top 5 firm to join their international private wealth team. Whilst there, Ben focused purely on the UK taxation of RNDs and their associated offshore structures. Ben has therefore gained significant experience and insight in this technical and complicated area of UK taxation.
For example, whether you are a graduate or leaving school after ‘A’ Levels you could join our team as a trainee Chartered Accountant on a four year contract. Smailes Goldie Group will fund tuition, exams and study leave for successful candidates and provide you with mentoring support throughout your training.Training is undertaken by Kaplan Financial, who have been providing professional Accountancy, Tax and Financial qualifications for more than 50 years.
