About Carcraft Body Repairs

Carcraft Body Repairs Ltd is the largest Independent Vehicle Repairer in the Grange Over Sands area of Cumbria.  We are a family run business who have been repairing vehicles for over 50 years.  We have built a reputation for excellence and high standards of service, taking time to listen to our customers’ requirements and to ensure they are met.

We use manufacturer specific on line technical data and Diagnostic Equipment only available to Approved Bodyshops. This provides the latest technical and specification data ensuring compliance with manufacturer’s guidelines to keep your vehicle in warranty. 

We only use genuine manufacturer parts and approved paints. Because we are approved by the manufacturer your warranty remains intact.

 If your Insurance Company is paying for the repair and your policy has an excess you will be required to pay this amount directly to Carcraft. It will be deducted from the Invoice sent to your Insurance Company.

 If the repair is being claimed from an Insurance Company we will ask you to sign a collection note on completion of the repair. This is then sent to the Insurance Company it confirms we have carried out the repair and returned the vehicle to you, the owner.

Nobody likes having damage to their VW especially when the insurers were so keen to have it repaired by their preferred agent. An anxious time but that anxiety was immediately relieved by the friendly and helpful manner of Mr Peter McClure at Carcraft. He made the offer of a courtesy car too, which the insurers refused. When I collected the car at the time promised It was in pristine condition. It was a pleasure to deal with Carcraft and I am happy to recommend them to others.
