ABOUT SYMTAG LIMITED
Symtag was established in 1988 by Alan Symonds. After spending many years as an agricultural rep, he identified a gap in the sheep identification market and developed the one-piece plastic eartag.
Symtag is still a
family run independent business
"the business has built up steadily since it began. Over the years we have improved the company by introducing modern, up to date technology in both the workshop and the office. I started off in a shed at the bottom of the garden, then moved to a cow shed, and am now in a tin shed!"
Symtag prides itself on the relationship it builds with its customers and the personal service they provide.
Symtag is now managed on a daily basis by John Symonds, Alan's Son and Dave Ackrill, Alan's Son-in-Law, so it remains a family owned and run business. Alan also often pops onto the Symtag stand at the shows.
