Les Heywood & Son Ltd is located in the picturesque town of Holmfirth, just outside Huddersfield, where 'Last of the Summer Wine' was filmed. We are a family business, started in 1966 by Mr Les Heywood, which Alan Heywood (Son and Managing Director) now runs. We currently employ 5 staff which enables us to carry out both large and small works.
We are a Competent Persons Scheme registered company which enables us to self certify and supply building regulation certificates for all our work.
We are members of Gas Safe (Reg. no 13147), APHC (Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors), Huddersfield Master Plumbers and recognised and recommended installers with the Baxi Group for boiler and heating system installation, Honeywell for heating controls, Polypipe for underfloor heating, and WaterSafe for water quality standards.
Having over 4000 clients on our database, this includes some famous clients from all over the North of England. Our engineers pride themselves on quality, cleanliness and punctuality and this provides an excellent service for the consumer.
The business employees have over 150 years of experience between them and have trained their own apprentices from the day they left school. We have one member of staff who has been with us for 42 years.

We carry out all types of green renewable technology including solar systems, air source heat pumps, underfloor heating, combined heat and power (CHP) units and ground source heat pumps. All water and gas related works are covered: from repairs and maintenance to installation and insurance of the products.
