Louth Museum needs your Help - An Appeal by Louth Museum

You can help us achieve this aim.

Every gift or donation (no matter how small) made to Louth museum really does make a difference to us. The museum is run by a dedicated and enthusiastic team of unpaid volunteers so you know that your money really does get used where it is need the most. Every gift or donation we receive makes a vital difference to our museum. There are various ways you can make a gift or donation by making a single gift or donation or opting to make regular donations. Cheques should be made payable to “LNALS” (the abbreviation of Louth Naturalists’ Antiquarian and Literary Society) and sent to the Museum.

GiftAid: donors within the UK who are taxpayers are asked to confirm that they wish their contribution to be subject to GiftAid and to supply their full address and postcode.

Invitations to special museum events. Publicity for your company as you will be listed on our in-house Museum Champions’ Board which is prominently displayed in the museum’s reception area and also here on our website. At Louth Museum we receive a variety of enquiries to carry out research on behalf of members of the public and we are always happy to search in our collection for requested information. Our costs of running the museum are substantial and in the current economic climate we have minimal financial support from our local councils or heritage organisations.

Or, perhaps you’re the type of person who likes to delve a little deeper and would like to assist in research for a temporary exhibition or help care for our collections?

The museum runs on a rota basis. We currently open from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm every Wednesday to Saturday from April to October each year, however, we do try to open on extra days or evenings for special events whenever we can. The minimum time commitment is either a morning or afternoon session, though obviously, volunteers can do as much, or as little, as they want to. By volunteering just a small amount of your time you will help to keep Louth Museum open.
