First and foremost a line manager with a Masters Degree in Management Practice Simon is a Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health and a security specialist. After a military career specialising in surveillance, Simon began his civilian career working as a security consultant for P&O. In 1996 he was appointed Operations Director of an international London Venue which he left in 2002 to set up X-Venture. Simon is an accredited IOSH trainer and a member of the IOSH Sports Grounds and Events Committee.

After completing a food microbiology degree at Nottingham University Kitty worked for the Institute of Food Research on Department of Health and DEFRA projects and then at Barbour Index as an editor on their food safety briefings. As well as food safety consultancy Kitty runs the training aspects of the business.
