Here at Towens we are proud of our history and record in waste management and construction services, our association with Weston Super Mare, its business council and residents. Mainarea Ltd trading as Towens of Weston began on 14th July1992 from a small yard on the Weston Europark. We did pretty much anything in the early days, except skips as Andy Towens was not permitted to compete with his previous employer under the terms of his severance. At this time Woodspring District were very supportive finding various civil engineering works for us to carry out.
In 1994 Towens merged with C-T plant a local plant hire company and the operation was moved to a small depot on Rectors way. In 1997 we purchased two plots of land in Warne Road, moved in and began the skip side of the business. Soon after the millennium we were able to purchase some of the old Hutton Moor allotment land which backed onto our plot and it is this site that we occupy today.
In 2002 following 8 years of steady growth Mainarea Ltd changed to the two operating companies Towens of Weston Ltd and Towens Waste Management Ltd that you see today.
Towens Waste provide waste management services throughout most of Somerset and Tipper work further afield into Devon and Wiltshire.
Towens provide a variety of construction related services, groundworks, civil-engineering & demolition for both commercial and residential customers.
