Neil studied at the University of Westminster and fast tracked his professional development with a number of organisations before setting up Arun Associates in 1997.
His passion is to keep improving the ARUN approach and grow the business into a leading London practice – trusted by all. That’s why he takes a personal interest in all clients of the company ensuring they receive sound professional advice and great service to the highest standards every time.
Ray studied at Oxford Polytechnic (now Oxford Brookes University) and sat the RICS examinations to become a Chartered Building Surveyor in 1974 and a Fellow in 1986. Since leaving college, Ray has worked solely in private practice although seconded to a Housing Association to provide technical support for three years. He also spent some time as an insurance Loss Adjuster in the early years.
Tughan joined the team in 2015 and loves working alongside the ‘old’ hands. He has very quickly become our ‘go-to’ guy for Party Wall matters and provides a welcome second pair of eyes on property inspections.
Before Arun Associates, he achieved an Honours Degree in Building Surveying at the University of Westminster.
Sophie is the oil that keeps the engine running smoothly at Arun Associates. The team are often out on site but you can always be sure that Sophie will get your enquiry to the right person as soon as possible. When she’s not thinking about ways to make the business work better, you will find her exploring new places and interesting landmarks and catching up on her reading.
Ian joined Arun Associates in late 2013 to assist with issues relating to CDM regulations on projects.
As part of the team Ian provides both Principal Designer duty service, Principal Designer advisor and Client CDM Advisor service. He also comes as a subject matter expert in respect of the change from CDM 2007 to CDM 2015 regulations with changes in roles and duties.Prior to joining Arun Ian worked as a Planning Supervisor and CDM Co-ordinator and can also use his experience in contracting side of health and safety to offer site audits.
With 25 years experience, he has become a real specialist when it comes to property portfolio management, works programming and capital budget management. He takes pride in making the client happy with outcomes even on smaller projects such as Party Wall matters, License to Alter reviews and diagnosing defects.
Duncan Joined Arun Associates in 2014, where he has used the skills gained in his previous roles to assist with building defects surveys, cyclical programmes, insurance reinstatement projects, contract administration, and party wall.
Qualifying as a chartered building surveyor in 1988, Simon has extensive experience in all aspects of mainstream building surveying, gained over nearly three decades throughout the UK. Simon’s particular specialism is as an expert witness, having received in excess of 2,000 instructions over 20 years to provide expert evidence to the courts in housing disrepair and statutory nuisance matters.
