Following a major investment, of circa £1.1m, into new machinery and purpose built premises back in 2008, Mercia have just invested well over £100,000 to complete Phase 2 of their development programme. This new investment sees the purchase of three addition pieces of machinery that will make the business more efficient, more profitable and more competitive.
Amanda Strong, Owner and MD, has been at the helm since the very beginning, when the company first started in a spare bedroom, before moving to their first premises in the early 90’s and then the purpose built warehouse in 2008.
She has steered Mercia through the tough times with a dedication and commitment that has kept customers totally loyal. She knows that whilst the high quality standards are maintained, the business is well prepared to drive forward as the country’s economy recovers.
The majority of senior staff has been with Mercia for the majority of their 25 years in business.
