There is an extensive range of air conditioning parts; including clutches, pulleys, compressors, control panels, blower assemblies and much more besides. As well as the specialised parts general items such as fire extinguishers, toilet chemicals and emergency hammers are also available. Jon Bernstein has been providing high quality support for more than 20 years to the coach industry. Specialising in Jonckheere coachwork, Carrier Sutrak air conditioning and Vogel seats, his breadth of knowledge of what has been supplied, how to get parts for it and how to repair it is unrivalled. Always ready to embrace new developments and adapt to meet changing needs, he has recently moved the operation to a brand new facility in Aylesbury, a minute away from the state-of-the-art new depot just opened by Motts Travel. We also offer overnight supply of parts for orders placed by the end of business each day. The level of service provided is of the highest. Bernstein Engineering's relationship with Jonckheere pre-dates that of Volvo's coach dealership arm. Part of the role involves providing technical assistance, as well as supplying parts and if a problem arises, Jon can liaise with the factory. We can supply anything because we hold extensive stocks and if we haven't already got an item, we order it and can usually get it within a couple of days.' Always immediately available are fast moving items such as mirrors, whether in parts or as complete units, lighting items, wipers and heating parts. Latest generation of VDL Jonckheere coaches, the first of which are just starting to enter service, though the bulk of demand is for the Mistral, Deauville and Jubilee products. Each of these ranges includes a variety of very different models and Jon knows all the nuances. We still have some Bermuda parts in stock and many other parts are either the same or can be adapted, though we've not supplied anything for a Solaire since a rear bumper many years ago. Bernstein Engineering is a Carrier S�trak Network Partner. We were first appointed as an approved service centre for S�trak air conditioning in 1986, and in 2007 were appointed as one of the Network Partners for Carrier S�trak in the UK, covering the Midlands and South England. We carry in stock a wide selection of replacement parts including bearings, belts, blower assemblies, controllers, filter driers and motors. Bernstein Engineering is Carrier Sutrak's longest standing UK service partner. Jon first worked with Sutrak when he had systems retrofitted to two Jonckheere P599s for Club Cantabrica. 'I liked the people I was dealing with and was happy to recommend the equipment because it is the way it is fitted that makes it reliable,' said Jon. Bernstein Engineering is responsible for the Midlands and the South, and will also be responsible for the sub dealers in that area. Under the new arrangement, Jon provides technical assistance and information for customers, undertakes retail parts sales and also supplies parts to the sub dealers. Part of the deal involves network partners stocking an agreed minimum list of parts, though Jon has chosen to exceed this, involving quite a considerable investment on the company's part. Every Carrier Sutrak system from the 1980s to the latest climate control systems can be dealt with and Motts have the latest refilling and gas recovery equipment. In addition to buying the equipment Bernstein already had, they have purchased more, ensuring they can cope with any eventuality, whether on a single or double decker. Bernstein Engineering also provides after-sales parts and service for Vogelsitze seats. Vogel is another manufacturer that has recently changed the way it deals with the UK market. Continues to offer full service support for all bus and coach seat ranges. Parts are distributed for all models, throughout the UK. We have provided after sales support for Vogelsitze products since 1989. We hold an extensive stock of genuine parts for their range of bus and coach seating. These include parts for the System 400 range as fitted to the Scania Omnicity and the Top 2020 fitted to the Mercedes Sprinter Range. Bernstein Engineering forms part of the worldwide service network for Vogelsitze GmbH, the long established German seat manufacturer known for their high quality seating products. At Aylesbury we stock parts and accessories for the range of seats which have been produced over the last 20 years. Among the vehicles using Vogel seats are the Scania OmniCity bus and coaches imported from Bova, Berkhof, Jonckheere and Neoplan, in addition to which, individual seats can be built up from stock to increase the capacity of an existing vehicle. Parts are imported directly from the Vogel plant in Karlsruhe, with everything including armrests, gas struts, frames, seatbelts, magazine nets, and ashtrays available. Table trays for Vogel seats can also be supplied.
