ABOUT DICKINSONS (PLUMBING & HEATING CONTRACTORS) LIMITED

Dickinsons Plumbing and Heating were formerly known as Dickinson and Priestley, established in 1969 by Barrie Dickinson and Ronnie Priestley providing small project plumbing and heating services to domestic residences. As the business grew, Barrie introduced his sons to the company. Michael and Stephen joined Dickinson and Priestley in the late 70’s as apprentices, both are now fully qualified plumbers and whilst Stephen still works on major plumbing contracts, Michael has taken on the role of Managing Director, running the business based at the office in Leeds. In the mid 80’s Michael and Stephens younger brother Rob decided to join the business as a fully qualified plumber and works alongside Stephen on large site contracts.

As the business grew, work focussed more into the residential house building side and moved away from the private plumbing sector. In September 1994 Michael became Managing Director and became involved with the procurement of new business and day to day running of the company. Barrie retired in 2000 and the company became fully incorporated trading under the name Dickinsons Plumbing and Heating Contractors Ltd. The business as it is today is now run by the three brothers, Michael who is predominantly office based whilst Stephen and Rob are Contracts Directors based on site ensuring contracts are built on time and within budget.

Today the business has a multi million pound turnover, employs over 60 plumbers, working on projects ranging from £100 to £1,000,000 and has a client base which includes major house builders and contractors.

Having being established for 20 years, we are one of the largest plumbing and heating contractors in the Yorkshire region, and pride ourselves upon being able to deliver a first class service to our new build clients both from private and social backgrounds.

We are located on the outskirts of Leeds, allowing easy access to the whole of the country.
