Our company ethos is that we are small enough to care, but big enough to deliver. We have the resources and experience to deliver projects of any size or sector, while maintaining close links with clients and ensuring a personal touch.
The site appraisal is the basis for developing a feasibility study which is undertaken at the start of a project to ascertain development options. This will also determine if the development is viable and will assist in the preparation of any business case or strategic client brief.
We carry this stage of design by making full use of presentation skills to complete high quality sketch plans, elevations and 3D images to best illustrate our ideas back to you.
Collaborative work amongst the design team is then vital to deliver the best quality submission. Working alongside our in-house Town Planning consultants, we will assist in procuring and coordinating the various environmental inputs, including noise, traffic, ecology & landscape, to name but a few.
Other than planning permission, the main statutory approval that will be required on a building project is building regulations approval. The Department for Communities and Local Government is responsible for building regulations which exist to ensure the health and safety of people in and around buildings, and the energy efficiency of buildings. The regulations apply to most new buildings and many alterations of existing buildings in England and Wales, whether domestic, commercial or industrial. Building regulations approvals can be sought either from the building control department of the local authority or from an approved inspector.
Landscape architects plan, design and manage open spaces and aim to provide aesthetically pleasing urban and rural environments. We can work on a variety of projects from designing parks and green spaces, to gardens and building development sites. Similar to interior design we believe that landscape design should be an extension of the architectural vision within a development and can make a significant contribution to the setting and context.
It is commonplace for us to develop 3d imagery to help client’s fully understand the design proposal whether that be for a domestic client or large commercial client. This is often required for planning applications to demonstrate that the design has responded positively to the surrounding area. 3D animations can also be produced to add a further level of engagement for client’s to better understand the spatial impact of a design or to arrive at the best interior aesthetic.
