WHO WE ARE
MedTec Design Services are an engineering design company based in East Cowes on the Isle of Wight. The name MedTec deriving from the proximity of the office to the River Medina and the technical nature of the service provided, hence MedTec.
The company, previously located on Samuel Whites Estate Cowes was formed in 1981 by original directors John Durrell and Peter Hodgson. Peter retired in 2013 and John gained a new business partner Joe Kitney. In January this year the pair retired and passed on the role of directors to three experienced employees; Daniel Carley, Andrew Durrell and Chris Hooper. With new directors came a new office and the team are keen to bring a fresh approach to MedTec, whilst ensuring the original company values remain.
Using the latest software packages MedTec can provide realistic 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings. The use of 3D models, renders, animations, 3D prints and simulation analysis gives a visualisation of how client’s products look and perform before any commitment to the manufacture is made. MedTec offer a whole range of services across numerous sectors including renewables, marine, architectural, automotive, mechanical engineering, oil and gas to name but a few.
We want our clients to return confident that the drawings and design packages they receive will result in trouble free production. We feel the work ethic of the MedTec team impresses our customers that often they will come back for repeat orders.

MedTec produce 3D models for early stage visualisations, concepts and to support 2D drawings. The 3D model provides an invaluable aid, which allows both the client and shop floor personnel to quickly grasp a concept or sell your product.
