50 YEARS IN BUSINESS!!
Shape was founded in 1967 and has been a family owned and run company up to the present day. This ensures that those perennial essentials of customer service, reliable deliveries, kept promises and personal attention are combined with expertise provided by all members of Shape Posture Seating.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your team for the chairs and wonderful service received. We are all very happy with them and they have been especially great for me." (Mark Robey)
Whether you ask us to just provide you with a chair or carry out a full workplace assessment, we will always attempt to give you a level of advice and service that is quite unique in our industry.
Our primary aim is to understand your requirements, interpret them correctly and to leave you with the feeling that you have made the right choice by using Shape Posture Seating. Our clients tell us we are succeeding.
Shape Posture Seating is a family owned and run business. We all love our work, a factor that comes across to everyone we speak to during a working day. We believe that by staying comparatively small as a company we are able to relate to our customers and build relationships that we feel would be impossible in a large, impersonal organisation.
Shape Posture Seating won’t simply sell you a chair. We will look at how you will be using that chair and how this will relate to your working environment. We will instruct you on how to get the maximum benefit and, if you want us to, we will set the chair up on site and advise you on whether your equipment is in the right position to help minimise any adverse effects on your body.
Shape posture Seating have been supplying specialist equipment through the Access to Work Scheme for over 20 years, and continue to provide an exceptional level of service, which is why we are used time and time again. We work closely with assessors to ensure that they are happy with the chairs they recommend, and often provide advice on new and existing products - our specialist knowledge has been invaluable on many occasions.

Our Guide to Document Holders and Writing Slopes Despite our efforts over the years to become a paperless office, we appear to be generating more than ever, and there are many scenarios where we just can't avoid looking at a piece of paper sitting on our desk. So what do we do to avoid those awkward postures, leaning over the desk, bending our heads and twisting our necks to see the tiny writing, usually placed at the side of the keyboard? Placing you paperwork inline with your monitor and keyboard, and elevated at an angle, reduces the need to twist the head and stoop over the desk to view the documents. It is one of the best ways to achieve a relaxed and neutral posture in most office environments, but also works best when using a product that allows you to pull the document holder forwards over your desk to act as a writing slope - such as the Flexdesk 630N
