Buckleys (UVRAL) Ltd. was formed in 1926 by the Buckley brothers from Putney, London, to sell ultra-violet ray arc lamps (hence the name UVRAL), used in early photographic production.
The Hoveman family took over Buckleys in 1942 and the company moved from its Putney base to Hythe (in the south east of England) in 1973. In June 2010 the company relocated to Shearway Business Park in Folkestone.
Buckleys has also diversified into fields such as ozone production, anti corrosion systems, medical equipment and a wide range of embedded microprocessor based systems. The company is ISO 9001 accredited. Renowned for its outstanding product range and proven record of top class customer care, Buckleys offers customers a prompt, reliable service, worldwide.
After nearly 40 years at Buckleys; you could say Paul has seen a few changes! Having been involved with an electronics company prior to joining Buckleys, Paul’s interest in electronics and technology spurred him on to join the family business.
When Paul joined Buckleys, the company predominantly supplied pinhole/holiday detectors to the pipeline industry and spark testing equipment to manufacturers of plastic products. Nowadays, Buckleys’ product portfolio is far more diverse; manufacturing test equipment for a wide range of industries.
Over the years, Paul has developed Buckleys into a company with a loyal and dedicated workforce and a broad product range, developed in consultation with its customers. Paul firmly believes exceptional customer service is at the heart of Buckleys’ success and ongoing growth. Buckleys, as a result, has longstanding relationships and an unsurpassed reputation with its loyal customers; built on the company’s commitment to providing outstanding expertise and products which are engineered and manufactured to the highest standard.
