Our story! How we started out, what we do now and a little about who we are.
Who We Are
Our original business, Warewashers, was formed in 2003 by an engineer and a salesman having over 40 years combined experience in the hospitality industry.
During our first year in business nearly 200 refurbished machines were sold and it soon became clear that not only was there a huge demand for these machines but that customers appreciated the expertise and knowledge that went with the machine.
With the same commitment to providing a great product and ensuring we have the knowledge to give best advice our reputation has grown.
We now offer nearly 15,000 product lines from over 120 manufacturers including many of the most respected hospitality industry brands and pride ourselves on the levels of customer service that a family run business can provide.
As part of our continuing drive to provide our customers with a better service we gained membership of CEDA (Catering Equipment Distributors Association).
We have customers all over the UK and have shipped items as far as the Falklands, but our customer base remains firmly in Kent and London where we have completed many small to medium projects and some higher profile large projects.
Nick is one of the founding members of Kent Commercial Kitchens. He deals with customer sales and projects is partial to hobnobs and for some reason refers to himself as studmuffin.
Lee is just as comfortable in the office helping service customers on the phone as out in customer premises repairing or servicing equipment, as long as it’s not too early in the morning.
Simon is one of the founding members of Kent Commercial Kitchens. He deals with kitchen design, equipment specification, project management and will always be onsite during installations. He has a bit of OCD when it comes to jobsite,workshop and office tidiness.
Colin is one of the founding members of Kent Commercial Kitchens.
A new canteen was installed in our Work Centre in the Elham Valley last year. We were more than happy with the standard of work and after sales service. We also rent a commercial dishwasher from them and we find their engineers knowledgeable, helpful and prompt. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Company to anyone wishing to employ good, competent tradesmen.
Just a quick email to say that we are over the moon with our new wash up area and feel that you and the team have been very supportive and knowledgeable in response to my many phone calls!. This makes a huge difference to the usual dealings with other companies who just sell you a product and have no real knowledge and leave you stranded. From our original request for a quotation, through to completion of installation of our dishwasher, the Sales Team were both knowledgeable and efficient. The order was placed on Monday afternoon and installation was completed on Friday as scheduled. Our catering staff are very pleased with our purchase and we would not hesitate in recommending this company to any one needing a new dishwasher.

In 2015 Deal & Betteshanger rugby club, took a decision to substantially upgrade its kitchen facility to a full commercial kitchen status, to allow the club to offer upgraded kitchen and cooking facilities to the local community on an ongoing basis. Our budget was £40,000, we appointed a project manager and a subcommittee to ensure the project was managed professionally and delivered on time. From the various business, and commercial business colleagues we have in the club, we decided on a short list including Advantage Catering Equipment. Each were invited to the club to view the kitchen site, and to understand the spec from our project manager. We received quotes together with references. From this process Advantage Catering Equipment were appointed. Our project manager worked in partnership with Simon Critchett to agree the various phases of work, and project plan, and to agree a final completion date. From quotation stage, we chose this company due to the very clear expert knowledge you have about kitchen re-fits and the sound advice you gave us. Our Kitchen Manager was delighted with the options you gave us at quotation stage. During the re-fit, the work was carried out to a high standard and the area surrounding the kitchen was also kept very clean. We needed to redo our kitchen extraction system as it was tired, outdated and wasn't complying with the new regulations. I approached Kent Commercial Kitchens after looking some of the work they've done locally, and also the fact that they are quite local to us. Their response was very fast and their top engineer was straight out .... Very knowledgeable, and able to design a special canopy and system for our pitched roof . Their quote was cheaper than many other companies I have approached , and the work was carried quickly and on schedule.
