In 2006 Grinspeed was established by Stephen Brindle to provide motorsport services to a number of front line rally and race teams.

Stephen carried on with this until he decided to start his own company. In 2007 Stephen was approached by a small privateer team, namely 888 Solutions, to run a JAS Motorsport Honda Civic EP3 in the Britcar Championship. Stephen accepted the challenge and ran the car from his workshop in Leyland, Lancashire. The car ran faultlessly all year, winning Class 3 outright and missing out on the overall Britcar Championship by a single point.

Fantastic job done by Stevie! He installed a Quaife LSD diff’ into our EP3 gearbox – not only that, he also sorted the Final drive that was incorrectly fitted by another company. Top job from a very competent mechanic. Car runs great and the diff’ is simply awesome!

What can I say about Grinspeed apart from excellent service had my LSD fitted by another company which turned to be wrong,after harassing Stevie for few days and a million questions we got to bottom of it and Stevie sent me out two new bearings and the shim required to fix my Gearbox,will highly recommend Grinspeed to anyone and my car will be going no where else but Grinspeed.
