The consultancy helped to manage a tender process to establish one caterer to provide both café and event services. This successful project enables Christ Church to receive a guaranteed income and an ongoing investment in the church and nearby Hanbury Hall.
PBL has assisted in developing a catering strategy for the masterplan, including proposals for initially developing the existing facilities with improved areas and a new hub outlet. The college is known for its quality of food for students, staff and for its extensive event business.
As with many NHS Trusts, Salford Royal has undergone change – both physically and in the way the business works.
In another part of the business, Salford Royal’s patient catering urgently required a major review. PBL , with the involvement of the Trust, developed a strategy and investment plan – which completely changed the way in which the service had been historically given. This strategy is now being followed to completion.
RTC Business Park, Derby
The consultancy is giving advice on the existing business, planning the new facilities and in tendering a new management contract.
As a result of the devastation of the city centre bomb more than a decade ago, this theatre and hall underwent a complete renovation. Catering and hospitality services were contracted out. Over the years, the theatre and the caterer have successfully developed the business, and recently the incumbents went through a single tender bid managed by PBL. The consultancy continues to give strategic advice on maximising the services offered to the public, along with the income to the Royal Exchange.
Adjacent to Westminster Abbey, this Grade 2 listed building accommodates 19 flexible conference rooms – with events ranging from the Church of England Synod to small business meetings. Church House is managed as a commercial business, providing income to maintain the building and to upkeep this Church of England HQ.
PBL has advised the management team on several occasions with the tendering of the management contract – one where quality of service and product is paramount and one where working with the in-house team to provide a unified service is critical.
