Gradcore is a social enterprise focused on maximising the potential of graduates for business, universities and places. Our roots go back to 1996 when we were founded by a group of university careers services in Yorkshire to mend connections between graduates and SMEs. We have since gone through a series of evolutions, and even though we work with a wide range of universities and employers across the UK, we retain our base in Yorkshire.
We offer a range of services from graduate recruitment to consultancy, research and training. As a company we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence in the services we offer, always striving to make them straightforward and relevant. Relationships are important in the way Gradcore operates and we work hard to maintain our links with graduates, businesses and universities.
The Gradcore team is made up of graduate recruitment and employability specialists, with many years of experience in the field. We can also draw upon our large bank of associates, which include University Vice-Chancellors, Heads of Careers, Senior Graduate Recruiters and globally experienced Consultants. This blended model of core team and high quality associates allows us to build teams for projects based on client requirements, delivered on a competitively priced basis.
. We are also always interested in hearing from talented individuals in the field who like what we do and are interested in becoming part of the team. Thanks for having a look around our site, and we hope to work with you soon.

In order that law faculties and universities can tackle the various challenges outlined, Gradcore has developed SEAL (Student Employability & Attributes in Law). SEAL provides a specialist legal employability programme that lightens the workload for academics and university staff, while enhancing future student success in graduate employment. The programme provides a practical experience and insights into the typical end-to-end recruitment processes that graduate recruiters use, as well as providing thorough, personalised feedback to those who complete the programme. The programme focuses on five main competencies: verbal comprehension; analytical skills; commercial awareness; career motivation; and digital skills.
SEAL also provides development opportunities beyond the feedback. Self-evaluation tools have been ingrained into the programme and they are supported by subsequent skill development interventions tailored to each student.
Gradcore have developed SEAL in partnership with specialist legal associates, combining industry expertise with our proven track record of employability work with more than 50 universities across the UK and Europe. The programme will also be delivered by a combination of Gradcore employability experts and legal sector graduate recruitment professionals – offering universities the best possible combination to deliver the specialist employability support needed in Law.
Join us!! We're on the look out for a Project Co-ordinator and a Marketing and Social Media Intern
Gradcore Team
We are looking to appoint a Project Co-ordinator to work across our full range of Higher Education and graduate recruitment projects. This role offers the opportunity to play a key role in co-ordinating client projects, whilst also being the go-to person in the business for data and systems.
The role involves playing a major role in delivery and execution of projects across the Gradcore spectrum of work. As such you will need to be someone with a keen interest in our line of work, and some experience in project co-ordination, data and systems. You will need to be highly organised, and not daunted by the prospect of sifting and reviewing large volumes of job applications and video interviews. We require people who can work at pace, whilst retaining quality, and will do the hours to get the job done.
As an organisation we take brand and marketing seriously, and are always keen to build and enhance our reputation through effective promotion and wide ranging social media channels. This summer is a particularly busy one for us as a business, so there is a wide range of activity to get involved with.
We are also refreshing our broader brand and comms this summer, and will be working with a design agency to deliver. This role will involve hands on activity as we deliver this process, and build our own marketing presence with universities and graduate recruiters.
This hard work comes with plenty of perks. We are based in beautiful offices that are old on the outside and modern on the inside. We have a dynamic team who will welcome you, provide you with some great learning and a fun environment. In addition we make sure you always have access to good quality coffee, and you’ll never have to buy a drink on a work night out.
One of the things that slightly surprised us was the extent to which actual or perceived gaming of DLHE seemed to have influenced the decision to go for a central DLHE. The respective HESA charts of different stakeholder opinions showed that most universities wanted to retain control and all other stakeholders wanted centralisation. The two sides of this debate tell us what we already knew, that universities want to control it as they know it helps them better ‘control’ results, and other stakeholders want it collected more neutrally.
