will require overseas parents to arrange for an organisation or an individual to be appointed as the UK guardian for the student while they are living in the UK. The guardian will take responsibility for any day to day decisions that the school would normally require parents to make as well as making all necessary arrangements for the student during some holidays and those weekends when the school is closed. Assistance with Passports, Visas, bank accounts and travel to and from airports are other areas where the guardian will take responsibility for all arrangements.

At Mentmore, we concentrate on the guardianship of international students once they have accepted a place at their chosen independent school in the UK. We do not offer places at schools or provide a consultancy in this regard as in our experience, most parents already use a trusted agent or consultant in their own country, but we will offer an unbiased professional opinion if requested to. We aim to provide parents and students with a service that is transparent and supportive and where all costs are shown clearly and without any 'hidden extras'.
