A friendly, family business run by Sally and Thomas Wilding-Webb

Sally qualified in garden design in 1994 at the Merrist Wood School of Garden Design in Guildford, Surrey. With an excellent knowledge of plants, she has designed, constructed and maintained gardens in Kent, Surrey and Devon. Sally’s design won the NS&I Growing Gardens Today national design competition in 2009, which was built by Through the Garden Gate at the Gardeners’ World Live show. She has well over 30 years experience of gardening, and has been a judge at local horticultural society shows. Thomas has been working for us for 10 years and has a great deal of experience in landscape construction and garden maintenance. He is our qualified first aider. Robin has City and Guilds NPTC Level 2 certificate of competence in Chainsaw and Related Operations which includes felling and processing of small and medium trees and the use of a chainsaw from a rope and harness. He also has City and Guilds NPTC Level 2 Amenity Horticulture (Landscaping). We have all attended the Devon Rural Skills training course in hedge laying.

Through The Garden Gate does not advocate the use of chemicals and is very keen on promoting wildlife and environmentally friendly concepts wherever possible.
