Dolhendre Caravan Park is a small family run caravan park near Bala, North Wales. It is superbly positioned within the Snowdonia National Park, near Bala Lake – Llyn Tegid. A beautiful, peaceful and idyllic riverside setting.

Set in 14 acres it is in an idyllic wooded and sheltered valley on the banks of the River Lliw with its own trout fishing but no danger from flooding. Dolhendre Caravan Park Bala, really is the ideal place to leave everyday cares behind and just relax enjoying the beautiful scenery, the peace & quiet and the abundant wildlife. It is a safe environment for children and we welcome well behaved dogs.

My first year at Dolhendre and what a joy it is being. The park is beautiful and peaceful, with superb countryside and walking all around. Andrew and Cheryl have been kindness itself, helping me to settle in and dealing with every concern and query. A new adventure for me – its the best thing I’ve done in years!

Drive out of Bala on the A494 Dolgellau road, with the lake on your left. About 4 miles from Bala look out for 40 mile speed restriction sign marked ‘Llanuwchllyn’ turn right immediately into lane sign posted “Trawsfynnydd”. Go past the caravan site on your left and continue for about a mile. At a fork in the road by a phone box and a bridge, take the right fork sign posted “to Trawsfynnydd” and Dolhendre Caravan Park is a little bit further on the left.
