ABOUT BILLINGLEY CHRISTMAS TREES LIMITED

Here at Billingley Christmas Tree Farm, we are third generation farmers who are tenants of the Wentworth Fitzwilliam Estate. We currently farm just under 1000 acres of land which incorporates a contract farm, arable crops, grassland and Christmas trees. We also runs a small herd of pedigree Limousin cattle . We diversified into Christmas Trees in 2001 following a substantial agricultural recession and the advent of Foot and Mouth. Since then we have looked to grow the business by planting more trees each year and finding like minded growers throughout the country who we can work with. We now supply trees on a wholesale basis to many local garden centres and farm shops and as well as our retail site at the farm we also sell our trees online. Furthermore, along side the trees we offer a complimentary range of top quality Christmas tree stands, lights and decorations.

As farmers we have always dealt with livestock, mainly pedigree cattle. So it was relatively easy for us in 2002 when we acquired out first pair of reindeer, Comet and Cupid. Over the years the reindeer family has changed as new arrivals have been born and older animals have gone to live at other farms. Our current reindeer family is looking forward to seeing you at Christmas and will hopefully be helping the main man again this Christmas Eve. As well as the reindeer, we also have our friendly donkeys and pedigree Limousin cattle. All are accessible for you to view and a great favourite with adults and children alike.
