In 2008, when 54 cars competed, Fiat UK, Fiat Belgium, Fiat Germany and Fiat Italy all contributed to provide eight new 500s, a Ducato and a transporter to support the rally - and Fiat Belgium continued to provide support vehicles for subsequent rallies

ClassicRallyPress Ltd was set up in 2002 by Malcolm McKay and Mike Johnson after the unforgettable HERO Inca Trail Rally. Mike was photographing the event for the Press, Malcolm was competing in his Triumph TR2 and reporting for the worldwide Press. We wanted competitors to be able to buy photos too from this experience of a lifetime.

For 2008, we created a celebration rally over the exact same route (right), for the same cars plus slightly later cars in the same spirit up to 700cc. 54 - double the number in the original rally - started from Liege on July 11, 2008, navigating from Michelin maps provided and quickly learning our innovative route checking system that ensures you follow the correct route, or pick up penalties for taking the wrong roads...
