J Wood Leathers Ltd, is a family run leather merchant business established by Julian Wood over 25 years ago:

“J Wood Leathers came about when I was asked for some red leather for making a jacket and skirt whilst selling knitting yarn. We now hold one of the largest stocks of high quality leather skins in the UK.”

Since then, our business has gone from strength to strength. In the early 2000’s we began to design and manufacture our own range of exclusive products for Hire wear and retail, specifically aimed at the highland dress market. We are constantly expanding this range and can now supply almost an entire Highland Dress outfit, from shoes and socks to sporrans and sgian dubhs! In 2013, our leather merchant business relocated to a new industrial unit in Steeton, West Yorkshire. The new building has given us the space and opportunity to expand our core range of leathers.
