Simon created, produced and presented the television series Wildlife SOS for Channel Five and Discovery Animal Planet. The series became the longest-running wildlife observational documentary on British television and was produced by Wild Productions, a company established by Simon. Simon has reported on the plight of animals internationally and is experienced in investigative and clandestine documentary production. In 2013 Simon developed TheWildlifeAidTV channel on YouTube which was the world’s first internet-based wildlife documentary series.
We are a unique, highly-skilled, creative team, working together to provide the highest quality UAV filming and specialist cinematography. With backgrounds in defense industry drone piloting and award-winning TV documentary making, we are one of the most experienced and skilled aerial filming teams operating internationally. We differ from other drone photography providers because we have a background in award-winning, ground-breaking television production and top-level aviation. This mix provides clients with a truly visionary, holistic service. We approach projects creatively, from the viewpoint of film-makers and directors. We use expert flying skills to deliver outstanding results.
The creative geniuses behind Wild Productions are James Incledon and Richard Symonds.
James is an award-winning documentary series director and cinematographer, with years of experience commissioning aerial photography. His work is broadcast on the BBC and Channel 4 and his series includes Reported Missing, 999: What’s Your Emergency, The Catch and Supervet. James is a pioneer of the fixed rig style of documentary making and his work has made him one of the most in-demand film makers in the UK today. He is adept at developing outside-the-box ideas and in his last series of the prime-time BBC1 show Reported Missing, he used a 1000 watt light attached to a drone to simulate police helicopter searchlights across the Durham landscape.
Wild Productions not only provide the latest in UAV technology and the highest quality photography and video, our experience means we also understand the needs of the director and can match the right look for the right programme, shaping the right vision for your project and producing aerial footage that will stand out from the rest.
