ABOUT SCREEN SERVICES (NE) LIMITED

One of the World’s largest sectors by revenue, the Automotive Industry continues to follow technology-driven trends to improve production performance, reduce raw material price and streamline production.

As we have our own test facility and weathering station, ScreenServices are in a position to provide ‘carry over’ testing which, if done in a cyclical format is generally accepted in place of real time data.

Products supplied into the Automotive Industry fall into 2 categories, with door pillar and black out vinyl’s, microfiber film to reduce noise/sqeaks/vibration/rattles and security serial plates and labels.

In 1999 ScreenServices made a strategic decision to concentrate all sales activity on the Automotive, Construction and Agricultural Equipment Markets in Europe and North America and focus on our core business activity which is the manufacture and supply of Branding decals.

This resulted in the establishment of strategic supply partnerships with major manufacturers who embraced the opportunity to enter into long term agreements and regular demand for their self -adhesive products.

The partnerships we have in place have provided additional mutual benefits such as continuous improvement and development of raw materials and adhesives to meet customer requirements and test marketing of new products.

The main factor driving our continuous growth is our ability to differentiate ourselves from our competitors by providing a proactive approach to product specification.

By engaging with clients at an early stage of new product development and design we drive cost out by aggressively challenging material specification and logistical supply to deliver quality, price and performance.

Our in-house Research and Development Team are used to working directly with suppliers and customers alike in order to achieve optimum product performance and having access to our own laboratory and archive of evidence based test data, we are in an ideal position to satisfy all legislative and application requirements.

Multi-Product Facility

During the design phase the manufacturing and distribution locations were strategically housed separately on the company’s 2 acre site to fulfill our disaster management and contingency plan, keeping the integrity of our business and our clients supply chain at the forefront of our focus.

The manufacturing facility consists of a newly constructed two storey multi-product facility separating the digital print department and screen printing department to greatly assist with our continued growth.

ScreenServices have a distinct facility for rapid prototyping with all tooling and cutting performed in-house. Rapid Prototyping enables ScreenServices to turn innovative ideas into successful end products rapidly and efficiently by the fabrication of physical products using computer aided design data.

The benefits of this process gives ScreenServices fast and effective communication of any design. The effect validation of the product with the ability to run quickly through multiple design iterations resulting in improved production and, in turn, higher quality end products.

Our in house design team utilises years of experience within our industry to fully design, test and implement for whichever sector or county your product is needed for. Our design and engineering studio is home to an enthusiastic team who combine excellent technical experience with creative flair. Acting as a lynchpin between the production team and client services. This crucial department ensures client requirements are fully met.

The design team takes a consultative approach through the design process ensuring the end product is exactly what is needed. The team can supply artwork, creating print ready files and workable formats for use with film based output, cutter profiles and printed media.

Key staff have been with the company for over 25 years and the average length of service is well over ten years. ScreenServices continue to be dedicated to staff training and development which ensures all staff are competent in their work, confident in their abilities, and more importantly valued in their role.

Knowledge capture and transfer is a fundamental part of staff development at ScreenServices, techniques are not something which can be taught totally in our training classroom, these core skills are gained through on the job experience whilst working with and learning from the companies time-served expert printers. By Collaborating with local training providers and universities we are able to offer modern apprenticeships to graduate and school leavers. These Apprenticeship schemes help ScreenServices find the very best new talent within the printing industry.

Meeting directly with clients, overseeing the company’s activities and ensuring that all business goals are reached as well as: guiding the workflow with high-level management, monitoring the performance of managers and department heads are all duties included in the Managing Director’s role.

Business and Customer Relationship Manager

Develops Client relationships; both new and existing, and assists these clients with their opportunity analysis and cost justification. Paul creates and delivers innovative commercial propositions from the core range whilst building key relationships with strategic business partners.

New Product Development Analyst

Leading the Research and Development Team and oversees the lead up to product launches by conducting rigorous market tests. This position requires experimentation and product analysis while maintaining lab equipment and preparing chemicals and substrates to exact specification.

The Agricultural Equipment Market refers to all machines which facilitate the production and processing of agricultural crops and agricultural livestock including tractors, harvesters, cultivation and soil separation equipment. Market share is a constant challenge for all of the main players so body styling plays a major part in achieving Brand recognition. Branding decals are used to compliment trade colours and are typically specified as large format screen print with an expected outdoor life of 8 to 10 years. Complex body styling and contouring can present a challenge when applying and fitting decals, therefore to provide production parts well in advance of product launch ScreenServices have developed a ‘rapid prototyping’ procedure used to prove application through practical fit and function testing.
