As the UK’s leading provider of action learning, with truly global reach, we have delivered face to face learning in 24 countries around the globe in addition to our virtual delivery, reaching almost 76 countries.
We run action learning sets for a wide range of applications across all sectors, from talent development to business project applications. We train action learning facilitators too, both in cross sector events and in-house and have trained over 1,200 facilitators.
Action Learning Associates form partnership with Flow Group, Brazil
I established Action Learning Associates in 1988 because I experienced action learning as a radical transformative power which exceeds other forms of solo or facilitated learning. I continue to observe that action learning enables individuals and organisations to learn differently, understand more widely and take bolder steps than they might previously have considered. I have seen the value of creating a structured environment where peers can learn from each other either within an organisation or across sectors.
At the outset I didn’t plan to grow the business beyond what I could deliver personally but, as the demand for action learning has accelerated, I have expanded the company to meet the need and now have an excellent group of associates, all of whom I know well.

Sandvik Coromant UK (part of a Swedish based global engineering company of real standing in their market) commissioned ALA to deliver a programme of project based action learning sets to help build on the success of a major new sales route as well as improve cohesion within the national sales team.
Action learning formed a key element of this programme, to help embed the learning and create long term, lasting changes in leadership behaviours. We were pleased to be involved from the start of this initiative, co-designing the entire programme so that the action learning element integrated effectively and was closely aligned with its objectives.
