Andrew is a founder Director of TasteConnection. He has a degree in Food Technology and over 20 years’ experience in the food industry, specifically in food ingredients. With a busy young family outside of work, Andrew manages to fit in producing his own cider, enjoying gardening and cooking.
John our Commercial Director, has extensive background in sales to the food industry and has specialist expertise in Culinary Sauces and Marinades. TasteConnection’s very own Mamil, John is a keen cyclist and skier and can often be found on the piste or burying himself in the tarmac of the South West.
Karina is responsible for dealing with all customer orders and deliveries. She ensures customers are informed of order progress. Outside of work, Karina enjoys cooking and spending time with her family. An avid television soap fan, she keeps the rest of the TasteConnection team updated with all that is going on in “TV land”.
Business Development Manager
Our man in the North – Alan, is the face of TasteConnection to many customers. A dog lover, he is very big in the Bichon Fries world. Alan is also the company’s musical buff, with an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of music from the 1970’s onwards.
Business Services Manager
Sarah started working with the company in 2004, and her current role as Business Services Manager incorporates development and manufacture of provenance ingredients, IT data management, pricing, and office management. Outside of work Sarah enjoys cooking and keeping fit and is the company’s tennis champion.
Paul has over 30 years’ of creative experience in the food ingredients industry. He is considered one of the most creative and imaginative flavourists in the snack industry and is responsible for new crisp and snack flavour developments. Paul works to ensure their functionality so delivering our customers’ products their full potential. A schoolboy bridegroom, Paul is also a connoisseur of the Guinness.
Becky has worked for TasteConnection for 8 years as NPD Manager, developing innovative flavour solutions for a wide range of food products ranging from snacks, ready meals, sauces and marinades. She is also responsible for the day to day management and smooth running of the laboratory and development team. In her spare time, Becky enjoys all types of dancing from ballroom, street and jazz through to tap. She has, however, had to give up the exotic.
Alice recently joined TasteConnection after graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Food and Nutrition. Based in the laboratory at Alderley, Alice produces samples for customers and takes part in development projects. In addition, she provides holiday cover for sales administration and QC. Outside of work, Alice enjoys socialising with friends and family, swimming, cooking and watching films.
Jack helps develop seasonings for snack products such as crisps, tortillas and popcorn. He has a special interest in the development of speciality ingredients which make many of our seasonings unique. Jack also creates food application presentations, illustrating new products such as dried cheeses, natural extracts designed for use in sauces, snack foods and dairy products. Jack is infamous for his love of chillies and all things spicy as well as tackling enormous steaks.
Paul deals with everything technical, from supplier auditing to specifications and site improvements. He has been responsible for putting together the sites technical standards and maintains our BRC grade AA certification. Paul is kept busy dealing with the growing demand for more detailed product information and higher technical, ethical and environmental standards. When not at work, Paul enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking, cooking and gardening.
Production Manager
Andy joined the TasteConnection team in July 2011 and earlier this year was appointed Production Manager in charge of the manufacturing team at our Alderley site. He is responsible for ensuring that products are made in a timely manner and are made according to BRC accreditation standards. Andy is a family man and when not working, he enjoys spending time with his son, walking, camping, reading, cooking and socialising with friends. A recent convert, Andy is now a keen cyclist.
Anna has recently joined TasteConnection to provide Flavour Development and QC Support. Anna is responsible for the processing and despatching of micro samples, sending out certificates of analysis, sending out concession forms and providing product specifications. Anna also QC checks products from production and is responsible for pest control. An animal lover, she helps out on her family’s farm, she also enjoys surfing and watching films.
Kirsty looks after the money here at TasteConnection, managing the accounts team. She has worked part-time at TasteConnection for over 10 years. When not at work, Kirsty tries to keep herself fit by swimming and going to the gym, but most of her spare time is spent eating cake and looking after her family as well as being ‘Mum’s Taxi’.
