Land Regeneration & Development Limited (LRD) was formed in 1995, specializing in land remediation, reclamation and restoration. The Company has the resources to undertake large and small land improvement projects, with excellent experience and knowledge in earthworks, bulk excavations, waste management, soil improvement, ecology, environmental issues, drainage and aftercare. LRD have historically undertaken land improvement projects at no or low cost due to their approach of creating financial benefits from reclamation and restoration opportunities. LRD has or are in the process of restoring more than 500ha of land since they were established.

They have a great deal of experience at obtaining planning permission for site operations, and liaising with regulatory authorities so operations are undertaken legally and as smoothly as possible, and projects are completed to budget without compromise to quality.

LRD have an experienced land restoration Team which includes senior management and key personnel of the Company, and various consultants and advisors. The Team’s experience originates from coal mining (deep and surface), agriculture, civil engineering, environmental consultancy and geotechnical consultancy. These essential experiences make the team ideal for dealing with almost any land reclamation and restoration project.

As well as land reclamation, LRD have extensive surface mining experience, much of which comes from incidental coal often associated with un-restored former collieries. They also provide waste management solutions for wood, green and construction & Demolition waste for the Yorkshire region, and can provide bulk excavation and earthwork solutions. Currently LRD’s operations are located in Yorkshire, Scotland and South Wales.
