Company History
The company was founded in 1978 by Margaret and John Pitcher who cleaned the offices of IPC Business located in Oakfield House, a multi tenanted office block in Haywards Heath.
When Margaret and John decided to retire in 1995 it was an ideal opportunity for their son Nick and his business partner Robert Morris to step in and take the company forward.
The company remains totally focused on its target market, the more discerning Sussex based small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs). They are professional and they want to deal with professionals. They know what they want and anything less isn't good enough.
Sussex Cleaning & Care is SAFE Contractor accredited. Under the SAFE Contractor system, businesses undergo a thorough vetting process which examines Health & Safety procedures and their track record for safe working practices.
Nick Pitcher is responsible for Health & Safety within the company. As Operations Director he takes an active role in overseeing the implementation of safe working practices at each of our sites. Nick completed a 4 day, Managing Safely course with IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety & Health) in November 2010.
Burgess Hill Business Parks Association awarded SCC the above award at its inaugural event on the 5th May 2017.
