Supa Aquatic was started by Reg Hutchinson after his demob from the British Army at the end of the second world war. He had over the years developed an interest in the breeding of Coldwater & Tropical Fish and it seemed a natural progression of his hobby to develop a business manufacturing and supplying fish food and related accessories. The business flourished as he developed the company based on his extensive knowledge of fish keeping.

When Reg retired the business passed to his son Mike who has developed it further on the foundations his father had put in place. The fact that this is a family business has enabled Supa to build a reputation for product development where ideas are quickly translated into the finished item.

Supa Aquatic Supplies Ltd is one of the best-known names in fish keeping. However fish products are only a part of the Supa portfolio, which also includes an extensive range of wild bird feeders, treats and accessories and a fast expanding range of small animal and cage bird products.

Supa have developed their business from humble beginnings in 1949 to a multi-million pound turnover business by a simple philosophy of listening carefully to their customers, developing products with flair & innovation and providing quality products that always offer real value for money.

Supa is proud of the fact that the majority of the products it produces are manufactured at its extensive factory in Sheffield from the finest quality raw materials.
