About Seawide Services

Established in 1972 Seawide Services is a general marine contractor with family roots. Bringing many years of commercial diving experience Douglas Rowe established the company to serve the South West’s needs for a pragmatic mooring and salvage contractor. Since then the company has developed its operational ability under director Brendan Rowe and his management team.

The company has reacted to the various requests over its four decades of operations to ensure our client’s needs are met including obtaining all required certification and skills associated with explosive demolition and special explosive effects for the film industry.

After purchasing two high speed Nelson launches in 2007 the company opened its crew transfer arm. These vessels not only serve as transfer craft but are coded to operate as offshore work platforms including that of rapid reaction dive platforms. This covers client requirements that other contractors struggle to do without outsourcing assets.

In the meantime Seawide Services has been constantly engaged with seasonal mooring contracts serving Helford, Falmouth and even as far East as Mevagissy. This includes general moorings, eco sensitive installations, prototype systems and deep-water heavy shipping systems.

We have partnered with heavy lift contractors to supply turnkey project management on both inshore and offshore projects. These partnerships have resulted in multiple sub-sea projects delivered successfully, including the installation and commissioning of the Seatricity deep-water wave energy renewable project, the first energy device to be successfully installed at Wave Hub, Cornwall.
