ABOUT ASPYRE TRAINING AND COMMUNICATION SERVICES LTD
We are an umbrella association of organisations both voluntary and statutory working in the field of hearing loss and representing people who are Deaf, deafened, hard of hearing and deaf/blind.
Diagnosis of hearing loss can be somewhat hit and miss with many people not being identified soon enough. This delay in getting help can have devastating consequences – it leads to high levels of isolation and exclusion and more than doubles the risk of depression in older people. Even relatively mild hearing loss nearly doubles the risk of developing dementia.
We are the major voluntary body in Wales concerned with deafness. Our registered offices are in Pontypridd, but our work extends right across Wales.
