TCS Architectural Design Ltd is a family run business which was launched by Trevor Smith in 2009. Trevor previously worked for many years at a local architect practice before making the brave decision to go it alone. Over the past 8 years the company has grown and has moved from the spare bedroom at home to beautiful offices in Elsworth.
Harvey worked in engineering for 5 years before making the switch to Architecture. He is currently a student member of CIAT, loves all aspects of Architecture and enjoys the challenge of juggling studying and work.
Business Manager
Lisa has worked for many years in the health industry with her most recent role being Contract Manager for a large, local health contract. Lisa was responsible for managing the delivery of the contract, overseeing the performance from a financial and data perspective while providing clear leadership to a team of 46 colleagues. In February 2017, Lisa made the decision to leave her role and use the skills she has developed over the past 20 years to assist Trevor with TCS Design. Lisa’s role is to manage the day to day running of the business which allows Trevor time to focus on what he does best – drawing and designing.
Once qualified, Trevor was ready for a new challenge and TCS Design was launched. Working from a spare bedroom in the family home and with the help of some good friends, TCS Design was soon working on residential alterations and extension projects, with the aim to help home owners through the design process to extend, adapt and improve their homes. Over the last few years TCS Design has seen a steady growth in new projects and have helped more than sixty families improve their homes.
TCS Design moved to the Elsworth office in April 2015 and was joined in 2016 by both Harvey and Rachael. In November 2016, due to continued growth TCS Design changed status to a Limited company and the name of the company was amended to TCS Architectural Design Ltd. In March 2017, Trevor’s wife Lisa joined the team to deal with the increasing management demands of a growing business.
Despite these changes our philosophy remains the same ‘To work with our client’s initial ideas and aspirations and guide them through the design process from start to finish.’
Welcome to TCS Architectural Design Ltd. We are a Chartered Architectural Technologist practice and produce designs and drawings to help people get started on their construction projects, obtain planning permission and gain building regulations approval. All design work follows our in-house processes to ensure quality and accuracy of work.
Our philosophy is to work with your initial ideas and aspirations to guide you through the design process from start to finish.
Many of our projects are single or two storey extensions which allow the creation of new larger kitchens, increasing daylight levels and creating open plan living areas. The incorporation of improved and clever storage solutions can help to enhance the internal circulation and flow of the home.
Through good design practice we aim to help clients reduce potential risks, improve the value of their investment and contribute to an enhanced place to live.
