Beyond the Edge is based in Sheffield on the fringes of the Peak District and is run by Alex Ekins & Chris Allewell who each have over 25 years of mountaineering experience from the awesome grit of their local edges to the 8000m peaks of the Himalaya.

From advice on your first Trek to passing a higher level leadership award assessment, we can provide you with advice, tuition and training plans. We also provide technical advice to the outdoor and leisure and film industry and leadership and management development courses.
We don’t usually cater for Stag or Hen parties (unless they are highly adventurous) or large groups wanting multiactivity days. This is simply because these groups normally want the lowest price instruction possible and we pride ourselves on quality not high volumes.
