Gary Parker Hearing Care Ltd is owned and managed by Gary Parker and partner Caroline. Caroline runs the office side of things and ensures the smooth running of the practise on a day to day basis.
In January 1988 Gary left the NHS and began working for a local independent Hearing aid dispenser, Roger Evans, and set up and ran the Plymouth Hearing Centre on his behalf. In March 1993 Roger decided to sell his practice and Gary found himself 'sold' along with the office to a national company, a fact that Gary always reminds Roger of at every meeting! Having had a brief taste of some very dubious working practices which can sometimes go on behind the scenes of such companies, Gary,some-what disillusioned, left in November 1993 and started his own independent Hearing Aid Dispensing practice. This allowed Gary to set the highest standards of ethical and professional Hearing Aid Dispensing.
and, after well over thirty years of helping patients with hearing loss, it can be honestly said that being an Audiologist has never been so exciting!
Gary Parker Hearing Care Ltd is a family business that provides a highly professional yet personal approach to improving the hearing of our patients. Gary was a fully qualified Audiologist within the NHS prior to entering private practice. He is a registered Hearing Aid Dispenser and a Fellow of the Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists.
Our primary aim is to provide the best possible hearing for our patients and, through ongoing support and after care enable our patients to continue hearing well throughout their lives.
This wealth of experience not only provides the the background knowledge to keep right up to date with the latest in hearing aid technology but also enables Gary to service, repair or modify much older hearing aids that some patients are happy to continue using and maybe do not wish to replace.
