ABOUT ACTIVE TAN LIMITED
Liquid Sun Rayz CEO, Marilyn Spatola from Cincinatti, Ohio, USA started out in the competition tanning industry nearly 20 years ago through spraying local bodybuilders at a friend’s gym. Over a number of years, she built up a large clientele and reputation for providing excellent service. Before long she started to realise that not everyone was that happy with the other bodybuilding tanning products available in the market place. Over a period of two years of conducting market research and looking for a chemist to develop a unique colour, Liquid Sun Rayz was finally launched to market in 2006. Liquid Sun Rayz products are now being used across the world for bodybuilding and fitness competition, ballroom dancing as well as in the ever-growing everyday tanning market.
In the UK and Europe, Liquid Sun Rayz products are officially distributed under licence by Active Tan Ltd trading as Liquid Sun Rayz UK. Active Tan Ltd is run by Louise Beard, a former competitive bodybuilder and experienced competition spray tanner and James Collier, MuscleTalk.co.uk co-owner, event promotor and renowned prep coach. We also have a team of experienced and fully trained and licenced spray tanners. Liquid Sun Rayz UK is also accredited by BABTAC, British Association of Beauty Therapists and Cosmetology, the oldest beauty guild in the UK. The Competition Tanning Training Course is the first of its kind in the world to be accredited to a beauty guild and competition tanning is now being recognised in the beauty industry a skill in its own right.
