The SnapLok line of innovative products was designed and developed by David Kresge in the USA, a long time chimney and duct cleaning professional with more than 25 years’ experience. Dave’s background was in the electrical engineering field before starting his chimney sweep business back in 1988. He quickly became the area’s leading professional and, after a few short years, decided to grow the business full time. Dave is the original designer of the patented button lock system that others have copied or have modified and claimed as their own.

About Rotary Power Sweeping
RPS was formed by Mark Hart in 2015. The concept started in April 2014 at a chimney sweep trade show, where he came across the SnapLok equipment and saw huge potential for such great equipment, so in April 2015 launched Rotary Power Sweeping Ltd based near Tiverton, Devon. Within 5 months the business was a roaring success, so much so that he stopped chimney sweeping and took the plunge of full time retailing SnapLok.
Roll on to 2017 and Rotary Power Sweeping Ltd is located in Tiverton, Devon at a commercial retail warehouse, that has a workshop, practical training centre, 2 x classrooms and a shop, employs 9 staff that includes 3 family members, 5 staff are also trained & experienced chimney sweeps.
When you talk to us, we have the experience and knowledge to talk to fellow chimney sweeps knowing what the job entails, this for us is essential in selling the right equipment.

SnapLok is a world leading, extremely high quality rotary power sweeping system and the ONLY Award Winning rotary power sweeping equipment, actually awarded by chimney sweeps and stove installers. SnapLok designed, engineered and patented the original ButtonLok system back in 2001 within the US, since then other rotary power sweeping companies have either copied or modified and then claimed as their own. SnapLok created the power sweeping industry more than 15 years ago and have brought their SnapLok equipment to professional chimney sweeps in the UK and the rest of the world which includes 8 Distributors throughout Europe and North America.
The SnapLok range includes flexible power sweeping rods made of solid nylon in 8mm, 12mm, 15mm, 18mm and 22mm in thickness and with stainless steel ferrules/fittings, various sized rotary heads and brushes, birds nest removers and tar/creosote removal heads, plus a range of adaptors for other rod and brush types. SnapLok also provide a full range of rotary power sweeping equipment for biomass and pellet heating system flues. The rotary cleaning kit can also be used as duct cleaning rods.
Rotary Power Sweeping sell our own range of professional chimney sweeping equipment and accessories to make the job of chimney sweeping easier and cleaner, this includes rotary 'Mole' brushes, fireplace props, torches and mirrors, gaffa tape, stove magnets, register plate magnets, glass scrapers.
Rotary Power Sweeping has it's own Chimney Sweep Advanced Training Centre and Academy which offers advanced chimney sweep training courses for basic and experienced chimney sweeps, which includes SnapLok rotary power sweeping equipment etc, these courses are delivered by experienced 'day to day' approved chimney sweeps, so the training is realistic and not sales based like our competitors.

Q. Coloured leading rods, why do you not sell them?
A. We are a distributor for SnapLok as we as chimney sweeps have used and tried different rotary sweeping systems and firmly that SnapLok kit is the best kit out in the chimney sweeping world. SnapLok rods, do not corrode, buttons do not sieze up, join and come apart very easily and best of all are not being sold at an extortionate price!
Please be aware that rod breakage will be subject to inspection via a return to SnapLok or Rotary Power Sweeping. Any rod that breaks due to a defect will be replaced
Q. Who are Rotary Power Sweeping?
A. We are a small family business based in Devon who are also HETAS Approved Chimney Sweeps. We are trying to fill the gap of selling high quality goods at an affordable price.
We use Hermes and Parcelforce for all our deliveries, so all orders can be tracked and signed for upon delivery. Please ensure that someone is available to sign for the goods. If an email address is provided, then you will also be able to track your purchased goods.
You have the choice of a refund or an exchange of goods. Any goods returned are paid for by the purchaser and must be returned with proof of postage and signed for by Rotary Power Sweeping.
Please be aware that rod breakage will be subject to inspection via a return to SnapLok or Rotary Power Sweeping. Any rod that breaks due to a defect will be replaced, but if a rod is deemed as damaged due to abuse and is self evidently twisted or snapped, then this is deemed as non-warrantable.
