I will give some examples, as well as expand on the meaning of this factor, but first of all I want to attempt an explanation of what exactly is the void-of-course Moon. I will try to do this mainly because I believe that the good understanding of the nature of the void period will help to understand its negative and positive sides better. But also, it would be good if the general public had a better idea of how it all works. Right now the common level of understanding is quite low, which is demonstrated by the questions I am getting from the visitors of Lunarium from time to time.
Each sign is like a chapter in the book of life, and moving through it the Moon is telling a story. When the Moon enters the next sign, it starts a new story. We still remember the old one, but we are not deeply involved into it anymore. Whether we notice it or not, each time the Moon enters the next Sign of the Zodiac, something substantially changes in our life, some context, or the emotional background of events. Most of the time we aren't aware of this change because the Moon is strongly connected to our subconsciousness, not to our consciousness. It is the subconsciousness who is deeply aware of the change.
Moving through each sign, the Moon makes contacts with the planets. It isn't really important what are those contacts and how they are made, but it is exactly those contacts who provide the content of the sign's story. The exact number of the contacts and their distribution in time depends on where all the planets are in the Zodiac, and this arrangement changes eternally.
Planets are traveling along the ecliptic - the imaginable path of the Sun against the background of stars, hence the ecliptic is used as a kind of ruler or tape-measure that helps us to define where exactly a planet is located in the sky at the moment. If we say that Mercury is at the moment in the 2nd degree of Leo this simply means that, relative to the ecliptic, Mercury is somewhere between its imaginary points which could be labeled as "1° Leo" and "2° Leo".
All these explanations were so far pure astronomy - a bit boring but necessary for understanding how things work. Now we are coming to astrology.
The last of these lessons was published back in October 2016. Since then, quite a few changes took place in my circumstances. First, I decided to stop selling the best of my time to various employers. Second, I realized the powerful potential of a properly created video course, built on a contemporary platform, both in terms of my satisfaction as a teacher and from the viewpoint of value for students. The net result is that I am going to continue the Micro-Lessons project but not as a random sequence of emails. It's going to be a thoroughly planned and properly created, with good quality illustrations, handouts, homework, and so on, video course.
The provisional title is Micro-Lessons of Astrology: the Foundations. The plan is to start from zero and bring students to a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the foundations of the traditional horoscopic astrology. Having created this firm foundation, I will then be able to follow with more specialized courses, like Magi Astrology, as an example.
On the other hand, if you have an ongoing business which is lagging behind and needs a bit of a kick, the First Quarter of the Moon can be a perfect time to invest in it some time and effort.
The First Quarter is naturally the time of the lunar month when we are most stressed out, so an ability to let it all go, to relax and unwind, even if for half an hour, can be a valuable asset then.
Increased emotions, vulnerability and touchiness. Your need for seclusion could become quite strong, and there is a desire to communicate only with those closest to you. It is not a good idea to deal with large groups of people, or to appear on stage. You may also want to care for others, or have others look after you. Emotional difficulties may also be an obstacle to business success.
