Darren has been working in the construction industry for over 30 years and has worked his way through the various tenets of the commercial side of the construction industry from Quantity Surveyor through to Commercial Director. He has worked on many of the iconic buildings in London, particularly 5 of the main towers at Canary Wharf as well as prestigious houses throughout the country and the UK headquarters of an international company. Darren is known as a fair and reasonable Commercial Director in the industry putting the project at the forefront of his commercial acumen.

Darren’s career spans working for Major National Housebuilder, Medium sized Main Contractor, Specialised Subcontractors, Developer, running with Robert their own construction company and then moving to the client side with the formation of Kempton Smith Ltd. Therefore, he has excellent experience in all forms of construction, all forms of contract and on projects ranging from £80,000 to £80 million. As Darren, will say, the cost of a project is just a number, the quantity of zero’s are not the most relevant aspect it’s the project and the people that are important.
