Nigel started fitting laminate and wood flooring for family and friends in 2000, whilst working as a residential social worker in Greater Manchester, word soon spread of his new found talent and Nigel became very much in demand. within a year Nigel had developed a reputation and began fitting for several local companies. In 2010 Nigel began trading as Bawn Flooring, which soon had a reputation for quality and attention to detail.
In 2011 Nigel was one of the first Quickstep Master Installers to pass at the Quicksteps new £2 million academy in Manchester. As a master installer Nigel was able to develop his techniques, education and experience. He is also now eligible for excellent technical back up and support. Quickstep now guarantee all Nigel’s Quickstep installations for 2 years as well as a product warranty of 25 years.
In November 2015 Yvonne Bawn Nigel’s wife came to work for Bawn Flooring full-time, Yvonne had been working for Nigel for many years previous doing invoices, accounts and promotional work for the company as well as working part-time, running the family home and being a mother. Yvonne has quickly settled into developing the business further.
In January 2016 Yvonne was instrumental in Bawn Flooring becoming Which? approved Trusted Traders.
