Due to the decline in the Coal industry the nature of the business changed in the year 2000 and focused more on Solid Fuel Services which included lining chimneys and the sale and installation of solid fuel and wood burning stoves and appliances.

More recently following Gwynne’s retirement his eldest son Iwan Meirion Williams and his daughter in law R Sian Dafydd have taken over the business. Solid Fuel Services was incorporated and now trades as Stove & Flue Services Ltd with Iwan and Sian appointed as the company Directors.

Iwan is a qualified HETAS heating engineer in and is experienced in lining chimneys and installing solid fuel and multi fuel appliances. Iwan is also a qualified Joiner and ran his own building and joinery business for many years.

Sian is a qualified Solicitor and up until October 2014 was practising in a local high street firm of solicitors. She was given the opportunity to join the family business in October 2014. Sian now uses all the experience and skills gained in the legal profession and applies this to the operational and administrative aspect of the business.
