Lytham St Annes Spitfire Display Team
Our team of volunteers portray life in the RAF for both Aircrew and Groundcrew during those desperate days of World War Two. Our enthusiasts who have lovingly restored of full size replica Spitfire Mark IX, now use her to help educate people on the realities of fighting in the RAF during WW2.
Preservation and Education is at the heart of all we do. As a volunteer organisation we are developing our Living History Display to incorporate additional WW2 aircraft and airfield support vehicles and equipment. Returning these rare items to operational condition will increase the educational value of our static displays for future generations to enjoy.
2015 marked the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and was a very busy year for the Team. In recent times we have completed operations to Koln, Germany, Normandy France and Geneva, Switzerland. Our displays have provided valuable educational insights into the realities of life in the Royal Air Force during World War Two. To visit one of our displays or Hangar open day's this year please visit our Calendar.
Working with our partners we are also able to construct replica Aircraft to order, all of which are built to a very high standard and can be equipped with a high level of detail, which can include internal cockpit fittings.
For more information on hiring our Spitfires or in commissioning a replica build, please get in touch.
