Open Tracking - About
Open Tracking was set up by Rob Marriott and James Thurlow in 2010, it came about when we struggled to find a supplier of trackers for the events we were running in the UK. We eventually concluded that we are going to have to do this ourselves. Since that time the services we've developed have been used by other event organisers (both in the UK and internationally), for DofE and school groups as well as individuals taking on big challenges, like the Lands End to John O'Groats cycle ride.
I run Open Adventure, an Adventure Sports company. Bit of a closet geek and do like to see kit working well in the challenging environment of the Outdoors. In my spare time I like to get out running and cycling - usually carrying a tracker so the family knows when I'm heading home.

For events in Scandanavia our Norwegian partner is RaceTracker who use the Open Tracking portal in conjunction with Norwegian topographic mapping or Google maps elsewhere.
