Established in 1977, we are a furniture shop run by two families, based in Bury St. Edmunds in the heart of East Anglia.

The Pine Shop was rebranded as Edmunds and Clarke Furniture to better reflect our growing range that now includes oak, painted and bespoke furniture and more home accessories. Peter Edmunds and Sam Clarke continue to provide the same friendly service, and are now joined by their wives, Ingrid Edmunds and Hannah Clarke.
We supply excellent quality handmade and finished pine furniture, oak furniture, painted furniture and bespoke, made to measure furniture, and lots of home accessories at realistic and affordable prices to Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex and further around the UK. First for home furniture, we are a progressive company that will furnish your house with traditional country farmhouse and/or contemporary modern shaker designed items.
Every piece of furniture we sell is lovingly handmade using traditional cabinet making techniques to ensure strength and longevity. It is constructed from quality kiln dried timber, sourced from managed renewable forests where possible. We finish most of it locally by traditional methods, using natural beeswax, organic oils or high build paint, all of which give an appealing colour and superior finish. Many of our solid pine or painted items can be customised by choosing different tops, handles, seats and paint colours including the highly popular Farrow & Ball colours. These furniture ranges and the materials we use are British made and we fully support UK based manufacturing. We import some of our oak ranges, the majority of which are 100% solid oak, extremely well made and packaged ready for delivery. Where possible we recycle our excess packaging in an ethical manner.
