For most commercial projects the first point of call will be an in-depth consultation with one of CambridgeHOK’s Technical Advisers. Their experience, technical ability and planning skills will help to ensure the future success of your project.
They will offer advice on construction materials, heating, air conditioning, electrical installations and cost build up. The team can also help by liaising with local authorities and utility companies, as well as consultation with fire officers and other interested parties.
When your project enters the construction phase, CambridgeHOK is single minded in its determination to deliver it on time and within budget! We are able to work with you from the concept stage, all the way through the detailed design, budgeting and full documentation of the detail specification. Thereafter, CambridgeHOK has the in-house skills, experience and knowledge to deliver all elements of your project, right up to commissioning and handover of the O&M manual.

At CambridgeHOK we take great pride in our outstanding pool of industry experts. Our team is made up of 53 employees, including talented structural engineers, mechanical cooling and ventilation engineers, computer control engineers, electrical engineers, project managers, designers, skilled installers and factory workers. Regardless of your particular technical requirements, our in-house team has the skills and knowledge to complete the project efficiently and to the highest quality. The whole team is headed by 3 directors who have owned the business since 2004; Steve Hinch, John Holland and Ross Hibbs.
Philips GreenPower LED toplighting solution has been designed specifically for use in glasshouse horticulture-it is the next step in the development and application of dedicated research into light recipes to boost production and improve crop quality. With this, CambridgeHOK can help customers achieve year round production whilst increasing sustainability and profitability.
Havecon are one of the world’s largest glasshouse builders- designing and building commercial scale glasshouses all over Europe, Canada and America. Havecon have their own in-house aluminium glazing system, with a class leading rubber seal, that provides excellent thermal retention qualities and eliminates any potential glass rattle. Importantly, the glazing seal provides such a secure glazing bed that Havecon are happy to offer a 12 month materials and labour guarantee against any non-accidental glass breakages within the glasshouse. With access and direct control of 20 building platforms, 2 foundations crews, 3 construction crews and 8 glazing crews, Havecon have an unrivalled building capacity, ensuring that it can quickly and efficiently build the biggest of commercial glasshouse projects. CambridgeHOK and Havecon have been in partnership for a number of years and completed a number of large projects successfully together.

Environmental control is vital in helping the growers provide the optimum environment for their plants to grow quickly, without compromising quality. Working with Westland Scherming, who specialise in the design and installation of Screens and Air Ventilations systems for glasshouses, CambridgeHOK can help growers achieve optimum environmental control. Westland Scherming offer a range of screen options including; Horizontal/Energy Screens, Horizontal Black out Screens, Outer Wall Screens, Roller Screens, Outside Screens and Air Vent Systems. New developments in cloth materials and components allow the screens to be more efficient, more compact and to give improved longevity.
