Hi, I'm Roya, the founder of HRH Consultants. Growing up in the heart of a family business, I saw how all-encompassing it could be and made a decision to avoid that at all costs! Instead I opted for the corporate world in the (somewhat-misguided) belief that I would be able to switch off in the evenings and go on holiday whilst the show went on without me. But as the years progressed, I became increasingly interested in business and the desire to start something of my own became overwhelming. At this point, I didn't know what that business would be, but I knew it was time to make the transition out of practice.
I joined my family business feeling I was in a strong position to use my experience to give something back whilst I worked on developing my own business ideas. This period proved invaluable - it was the final piece of the puzzle - I had my formal qualifications and experience working with big corporates and now I had first hand experience of the workings of a small business.
It quickly became apparent how critical well-designed processes are to the smooth-running of any business, regardless of its size. Collectively, processes result in a system, and it is a successful system forms the basis of a scalable business.
Seeing first hand how an injection of external input eased the pressure on management and staff and gave the business a boost, I realised how many other organisations could benefit from access to such support. I also noticed how rare it is that people move between small and large businesses: it was clear to me that combining big company insights with small company values brings together the best of both worlds.
After a few months I had started working with several friends' businesses and these observations were equally applicable. Realising the difference I could make, and having thoroughly enjoyed the variety and challenge of doing so, I decided to formalise matters and set up HRH Consultants.
We have grown to a team of three - all of us Chartered Accountants with practical experience running a business. We have streamlined our offerings into
designed around what works for our clients. We serve a gap in the market between hiring a traditional consultancy firm to complete a one-off project and hiring a permanent member of staff - in essence, we offer flexibility.
We love meeting new clients and learning about their needs so we can support them in moving their organisations forward.
