Omar has successfully led national sales teams and created new business units that have delivered multi million pound blended learning solutions for international organisations.
Omar was previously the Sales Director at The Skills People, which was London’s largest FE skills and employability business delivering apprenticeship and commercial courses.
He has received a National Training Award for delivery of a european public sector training programme and has had numerous learning articles on business development growth strategy published.
Mark has over 20 years experience in sales, product development and senior management roles. Previously to

, Mark was Vice Principal, Business Development at one of London’s largest FE colleges. There, he established the college’s commercial arm
and under his leadership it grew to be the most successful FE college business in London, growing to over 12,000 learners across 2,500 employers and winning numerous awards, including an AoC Beacon Award for Employer Engagement and a National Training Award in 2010.
Prior to this, Mark led the BBC’s commercial learning operation globally. Developing and delivering learning content across all media including TV, online, e-learning, DVD and book publishing, BBC Business Learning was the first training provider to win the prestigious WoLCE Learning Provider of the Year award two years in succession. Mark has published numerous articles on learning and business, as well as being a regular speaker at conferences and events.
